Description
This beautiful Victorian transferware plate, dating to the late 19th century (registered in 1888 under Rd No. 101296), is a fine example of English ceramic artistry. The plate features a rich brown floral transfer pattern, intricately detailed across the surface, and framed by a striking embossed swirl band — a decorative technique popular during the aesthetic movement.
The design combines naturalistic floral elements with elegant, lightly scalloped edging and a gently raised band, creating a piece that is both tactile and visually refined. The back is clearly stamped with the registration number and a bold anchor mark, likely attributed to a Staffordshire pottery.
