This impressive natural sea fan coral specimen is a beautiful example of a gorgonian coral, prized for its intricate branching structure and almost textile-like appearance. The delicate latticework creates a stunning interplay of light and shadow, revealing the remarkable natural geometry that has fascinated collectors, naturalists and interior designers for centuries.
Unlike stony reef-building corals, sea fans belong to a group of soft corals known as gorgonians.
