The interior of the bowl is adorned with a bold Imari-style floral motif—stylised leaves, blooming peonies, and orange rosettes radiate from the centre like a miniature canvas. The outer handle is heavily decorated in rich cobalt and gold, with generous curves and thick glazing that give it a satisfying, weighty presence.

The handle shows painterly brush marks and evidence of firing anomalies, suggesting hand-finished craftsmanship likely from a Staffordshire maker (possibly Allerton or similar).
